Practice!

Practice! Practice! Practice!

I’m sure some of you are like me and are groggy from late night fireworks and the 4th of July holiday weekend. So, to help you and me get going today on practicing here are some practice articles to consider (Of course, some of you might want to practice first before reading!):

1.http://www.bulletproofmusician.com/how-many-hours-a-day-should-you-practice/
This recent one is especially interesting because it is from a violinist perspective. The blog this article is from is quite good and I have it on my home page through RSS (see earlier post).

2. http://www.bandworld.org/pdfs/SPRINGMindMuscleandMusic.pdf
This old article is one I’m currently studying and offers insights from a professional “brain guy.”  I know that it has been influential with some of the leading clarinetists of our day.

Here are some of my ideas.

Now I need to go practice!
