Now that school is out, it’s time for vacation, rest and PRACTICE!!! [and for me, MOVING!]
So, here’s a quick practice tip:
Slow Careful Practice = Super Cool Performing!
Go SLOW with a metronome with great fundamentals (relaxation, tone, counting, etc.) and then increase the tempo a little at a time until you get it. Check out the brain science in this Frank R. Wilson article and my own practice tips, etc.

Note: We often don’t remember where we picked up things, but I recall John Cipolla standing in front of my students about ten years ago saying, “Slow, Careful, Practice.” I’ve been saying it ever since! Thanks John!
